Released in 1980 and produced by Big Star’s Alex Chilton, Songs The Lord Taught Us is the debut album from American garage rock greats The Cramps. Trashy, theatrical psychobilly doesn’t get any better than this - great covers, such as The Sonics’ Strychnine and Jimmy Stewart’s Rock On The Moon, sit alongside some of the band’s best-known originals like I Was A Teenage Werewolf and TV Set.
