TV Priest push beyond the post-punk foundations of their earlier work on Cartoons, their most ambitious album yet. Driving guitars, programmed drums, field recordings and dance-informed rhythms combine in a cinematic sound that reflects life in an age of digital overload and constant connection. Lead single The Mud Never Dries mixes post-punk, drum & bass influences, electronic sampling and spoken word, signalling the band's broader musical vision. Exploring anxiety, grief, connection and fleeting moments of hope, Cartoons is TV Priest's most adventurous and emotionally direct record to date
