Inspired by unexpectedly becoming a husband and father, Passenger’s Wild Love traces a relationship from its tentative beginnings to the possibility of something lasting. Mike Rosenberg brings his familiar folk-pop songwriting to the buoyant Boomerang, the country-tinged title track and It Was Gonna Be You, a song about watching a relationship unravel. Elsewhere, Caution To The Wind nods to ‘70s Elton John, Lightning Strikes brings in ‘80s synths, and a cover of Taylor Swift’s Willow acknowledges a song closely tied to Rosenberg’s own love story.
