Ash’s 1977 still hits with the same energy and immediacy that made it a defining British indie-rock record of the ’90s. From the breakneck rush of Lose Control to the expansive finale Darkside Lightside, the album moves effortlessly between noisy guitars, huge choruses and melodic pop craft. Packed with fan favourites and youthful momentum, it captures the band at their most direct and excitable.
