As well as inventing leather trousers, Primal Scream invented that vowel-less way of writing words which has been taken up by most Pitchfork - friendly artists these days. True pioneers. XTRMNTR was one of their best albums -  a noisy and edgy and political worked helped by having Kevin Shields tossing sonic debris all over it. If you are looking for something to get after Screamadelica then this is one of their better efforts.  This expanded edition adds B-sides, rarities and two previously unreleased tracks, with liner notes by Darran Anderson.
