The Sky Is Too High is the debut solo album from Graham Coxon, first released in 1998. Written, recorded and produced by Coxon, it presents a lo-fi, unvarnished set of songs that lean into intimacy and understatement, marking a clear departure from his work with blur at the time. Hints of this direction had surfaced earlier in You’re So Great, but here Coxon fully commits to a stripped-back approach, with I Wish standing as a key moment. Originally issued on his own Transcopic label, the album captures a more personal and exploratory side of his songwriting.
