Gnod continue their anniversary trilogy with Chronicles Of Gnowt (Vol. 2), recorded during the same six-day sessions as its predecessor at Hellfire Studios near Dublin with producer Spud Murphy (Lankum, Black Midi). Focusing on crushing riffs, repetition and raw live performance, the album captures the band's instinctive approach at its most powerful. As Chris Haslam puts it: "We find quite regularly that spontaneity and the no thought approach works better than over analysis and detailed planning." The result is some of Gnod's most intense and uncompromising music to date.
