Frank Turner marks 20 years of his debut solo EP Campfire Punkrock with an expanded anniversary edition on Xtra Mile Recordings. The release brings together the original EP alongside two additional songs, ‘The Real Damage’ and ‘The Ballad Of Me & My Friends’, both included on the 2007 US version, plus seven live recordings captured at Turner’s 50th solo show in London in 2006. Originally recorded by guitarist Ben Lloyd at bassist Tarrant Anderson’s Oxford home and mixed by Tristan Ivemy, Campfire Punkrock introduced Turner’s stripped-back, confessional songwriting. Featuring favourites including ‘Nashville Tennessee’, ‘The Real Damage’ and ‘The Ballad Of Me & My Friends’, this edition returns to the formative moments of a solo career that would steadily gather momentum from these humble beginnings.
