Dave Grusin’s score to The Goonies brings together the key themes from Steven Spielberg’s much-loved 1985 adventure. Grusin’s sweeping orchestral music follows the young heroes from the discovery of a mysterious treasure map through underground tunnels, booby traps and the hunt for a long-lost pirate ship. Playful, suspenseful and suitably grand, it’s a score packed with the same sense of danger and excitement as the film.
