Buzzcocks - Attitude Adjustment
Since forming in Manchester in the mid-1970s, Buzzcocks' melodic, high-velocity punk has inspired generations - from their self-released debut EP Spiral Scratch to a run of classic singles and albums that defined an era. Though co-founder Pete Shelley’s passing in 2018 marked the end of an age, Steve Diggle continues to lead the charge with undiminished energy and invention. Their twelfth studio album, Attitude Adjustment, sees the band channelling that trademark hook-laden urgency into new shapes. There’s talk of “punk rock with a Motown vibe” - and the record delivers just that: rhythm-driven anthems full of melody, bite, and surprise. Across 14 new tracks, Diggle and co. prove that reinvention and raw power can still coexist within the same three chords. A bold and vibrant addition to the Buzzcocks legacy, Attitude Adjustment celebrates movement, melody, and the endless capacity of punk to evolve.
