Beth Orton’s third album Daybreaker, originally released in 2002, marked a shift away from the electronic elements of Trailer Park and Central Reservation. Leaning towards a more traditional singer-songwriter approach, Orton places her distinctive vocals and understated songwriting at the centre of arrangements rooted in folk and pop. Available on vinyl LP.

Released in 2006, Comfort of Strangers is the fourth album from Beth Orton. Recorded at New York’s Sear Sound Studio, it moves further away from the electronic elements of her earlier work in favour of spare, organic folk-rock. The stripped-back arrangements put Orton’s distinctive voice and songwriting front and centre, giving the album an intimate, direct feel. Available on vinyl LP.
