Truck Violence return with The weathervane is my body, a raw and self-produced second album built from the ground up. Raised in a remote French Canadian town with little local infrastructure, core members Karsyn Henderson and Paul Lecours learned to make things happen themselves, running a studio and radio station while still in their teens before relocating to Montreal and forming the band alongside Chris Clegg and Thomas Hart. Now releasing through The Flenser, the group handle every aspect of the record in-house, from recording and mixing to photography and artwork. That DIY approach runs through the album’s noise rock and post-hardcore foundations, giving the songs a directness that never feels forced or polished down. The record expands on the confrontational energy of their debut Violence, pushing further into jagged rhythms, distortion and tension without losing sight of melody or atmosphere.
