Thundercat returns with Distracted, his fifth studio album for Brainfeeder, shaped around ease, curiosity and the freedom to follow the moment. Created largely in close collaboration with producer Greg Kurstin, the record leans into groove, melody and mischief, balancing polish with Thundercat’s unmistakable low-end touch. Across the album, Thundercat is joined by a wide-ranging cast of collaborators including A$AP Rocky, WILLOW, Tame Impala, Channel Tres and Lil Yachty, alongside a previously unreleased collaboration with Mac Miller. Additional production contributions come from Flying Lotus, Kenny Beats and The Lemon Twigs, expanding the album’s palette without diluting its relaxed, conversational feel.
