The Strokes fifth studio album, Comedown Machine, featured a minimal cover design that resembles an RCA demo tape. It's an album where they sound like themselves - those taut rhythmical jabs, stabs of guitar underpinning Casablanca's dozily sighed vocals - but nothing like themselves at the same time.
