The Proclaimers return with You May Offend, their thirteenth studio album. Recorded at Rockfield Studios with producer Dave Eringa, the Reid brothers are joined by their live band — Steven Christie, Garry John Kane, Zac Ware and Clive Jenner — plus guest guitarist James Dean Bradfield. Across 12 songs, Craig and Charlie Reid bring their familiar mix of directness, warmth and political bite to questions of free speech, everyday life and the future. The title track considers the contradictions of offence: whether its phrase is a warning, an instruction or an invitation. Its accompanying video is directed by Emmy and BAFTA winner Douglas Mackinnon, in partnership with Peter Anderson Animation.
