Their final album for Atlantic Records, 1996’s Car Button Cloth, was The Lemonheads’ seventh full-length. Featuring few people other than the group’s leader Evan Dando playing most of the instruments, this eclectic set of jangle-pop, Nuggets-influenced garage rock and mournful ballads has garnered a cult following despite not selling as well as its predecessors It’s A Shame About Ray and Come On Feel The Lemonheads. Features the singles If I Could Talk I’d Tell You, It’s All True and The Outdoor Type.
