Graham Coxon's third solo album, Crow Sit On Blood Tree, was originally released in 2001 and marked a major step forward in his songwriting. Tracks such as Burn It Down and You Will Never Be carry the raw, fuzzed-up energy familiar from Blur's Song 2, while All Has Gone and Thank God For The Rain reveal a quieter side influenced by Nick Drake and Bert Jansch. Recorded, mixed and mastered in just two weeks, it's an adventurous set that reflects Coxon's willingness to follow his instincts wherever they lead.
