Steve Gunn has long been a leading voice in American experimental and guitar-driven songwriting. Following three acclaimed albums on Matador, he returns with his seventh studio record Daylight Daylight, produced in Chicago by long-time collaborator James Elkington. Stripped back and direct, the album centres on Gunn and Elkington’s performances, with subtle contributions from Nick Macri, Hunter Diamond, Ben Whiteley and Macie Stewart.
