Soft Cell present a long-awaited studio version of their cover of Suicide’s Ghost Rider, recorded with brand new vocals from Marc Almond, guest vocals from JG Thirlwell of Foetus, and saxophone by long-time collaborator Gary Barnacle. The track had only ever existed as part of the band’s live set during the The Art of Falling Apart era in 1983. It re-emerged nearly forty years later at their 2022 show at New York’s Beacon Theatre, where Thirlwell once again joined Almond on stage. This release marks the first time a studio version has been made available, accompanied by alternate takes and mixes not included on the recent reissue of The Art of Falling Apart.
