Allison and Katie Crutchfield have reunited to form Snocaps, a new band created with friends and collaborators MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook. Drawing on the raw energy of Allison’s work with Swearin’ and the early, confessional tone of Katie’s Waxahatchee records, the project finds the twins returning to their roots—making music together for the first time in years. Produced and largely engineered by Cook, the album showcases all four musicians playing multiple instruments, creating a fluid and organic sound that balances immediacy with intimacy. After a short run of live shows at the end of 2025, Snocaps will take an indefinite pause, though as Katie notes, “Allison and I have been, in some way, shape or form, doing this together for over 20 years.” Their creative connection, it seems, is far from over.
