Peter Gabriel’s In The Big Room documents a rare live performance recorded on 23 November 2003 in the Big Room at Real World Studios. Presented to a small audience of Full Moon Club members, the show was conceived outside the framework of a major tour, prioritising sound, attention and immediacy over spectacle. Without elaborate visuals or the routine polish of a long tour run, the performance leans into alertness and risk, with the band fully concentrated on the music as it unfolded. Listening back years later, Gabriel noted how alive and responsive the songs felt in these mixes, capturing a moment of shared focus between musicians and audience. The 14-song set draws from material associated with the Growing Up Live tour of 2002–03 and the subsequent Still Growing Up Live shows of 2004, with additions including Burn You Up, Burn You Down, Games Without Frontiers and The Tower That Ate People. Gabriel is joined by his touring band from the period: Tony Levin, David Rhodes, Ged Lynch, Richard Evans, Rachel Z, and Melanie Gabriel, delivering a performance defined by clarity, tension and collective presence. Available on 2CD and double vinyl LP.
