An inspired meeting of musical minds, this project revisits In A Space Outta Sound through a heavy dub lens. George Evelyn, aka DJ E.A.S.E, has handed the original tapes to Adrian Sherwood, inviting the On-U Sound founder to rework eight tracks in the spirit of the reggae and sound system influences that informed the album from the start. Sherwood’s approach goes far beyond remixing. Using his trademark mixing-desk techniques, he reshapes familiar material into spacious, bass-driven versions that feel both respectful and adventurous. Iconic tracks are boldly reimagined, with You Wish transformed into You Bliss and Flip Ya Lid reworked as Flippin Eck, each taking on new weight and atmosphere. To deepen the collaboration, Sherwood also brings in key On-U Sound players, adding fresh instrumentation and texture. The result sits comfortably alongside classic dub reinterpretations such as No Protection and Lucifer On The Moon: a version excursion that stands as a distinct work in its own right, and a compelling new angle on a much-loved record.
