Kid Kapichi - Fearless Nature
Kid Kapichi have long thrived on snarling riffs and sharp-tongued rebellion, but with Fearless Nature they show what lies beneath the armour. The album’s first track, Stainless Steel, is described by frontman Jack Wilson as the bridge between old and new - taut, lean, and unmistakably theirs, but now fuelled by emotional depth as much as fury. Across the record, moments of doubt and defiance collide, revealing a band confident enough to explore their scars as well as their strength. The album also marks a turning point for the Hastings outfit. Guitarist Ben Beetham and drummer George Macdonald, who co-produced with Mike Horner, departed amicably after its completion, passing the torch to new members Lee Martin and Miles Gill - both long-time allies from the South of England scene. Fearless Nature captures this transition perfectly: the end of one era, the fearless start of another. For fans of Fontaines D.C., Gorillaz, Blur, Yard Act, Soft Play, Demob Happy, and Queens of the Stone Age.
