Boasting a confident, mature and emotionally positive array of carefully crafted songs, Isis's appeal does not lie with the metal crowd alone. Their records sit just as comfortably next to the likes of Mogwai / Godspeed as they do Converge, Tool, Neurosis, Old Man Gloom etc. With guest bass on "Altered Course" by Justin Chancellor of Tool and production courtesy of Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Pearl Jam, etc.), 3rd album Panopticon, originally released in 2004, is a sprawling epic that cemented Isis's place in underground legend the world over.
