The Year Of The Radical Romantics captures the energy and spectacle of Fever Ray’s globe-spanning There’s No Place I’d Rather Be tour. Performed with a full band including Minna Koivisto, Romarna Campbell, Maryam Nikandish and Helena Gutarra, the album features live versions of tracks from Radical Romantics, highlights from 2017’s Plunge, and bold new takes on early favourites. Known for their surreal, world-building videos, Fever Ray’s stage show also introduced a cast of vivid alter-egos - the white-suited Casanova, Romance, Main, Snusis and Demona Lisa - all channelled through blistering, theatrical performances. Alongside material from later albums, the record also includes storming live renditions of fan favourites from the 2009 debut, such as I’m Not Done (Therapy Session) and Now’s the Only Time I Know (Therapy Session).
