1999’s The Contino Sessions is Death in Vegas' second album - a dark, atmospheric fusion of electronica and groove-heavy rock that earned a Mercury Music Prize nomination and enduring acclaim. Named after the London studio where it was recorded, the album remains their most fully realised work. Joined by an impressive cast of guest vocalists, the record features contributions from Dot Allison, Jim Reid, and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, with Iggy Pop delivering the unforgettable centrepiece ‘Aisha’—a macabre tale that only he could bring to life.
