Coldplay reissue nine of their previous albums on special-edition clear records made from recycled plastic bottles. The band's label, Parlophone, said the new "EcoRecords" reduce carbon emissions during the manufacturing process by 85% compared with traditional vinyl production. Each 140g LP is made up of approximately nine recycled bottles, which are cleaned and moulded into playable records. The reissues include all of Coldplay's albums from Parachutes (2000) to Music of the Spheres (2021). Their most recent album, Moon Music (2023), was the first to be released in the EcoRecord format.
