Beck returns with a mouth-watering feast of beats and grooves crafted by himself and his old Odelay accomplices the Dust Brothers. Most of Guero dips into the scrawny lo-fi hip hop of Odelay and even Mellow Gold. The fat dusty beats meet keening bottleneck scrapes. the rhythms range from a lilting Tropicalia reprise, 60's R'n'B and stoner punk-funk whilst one track features a stubby bassline courtesy of Jack White. Beck is back and that means good news for everyone.
