Since launching back in 2022, Domino's dance-focused Smugglers Way off-shoot has served up numerous sonic treats from French Touch legends Alan Braxe and Fred Faulke. Now they've decided to offer up a fresh edition of one of the pair's most celebrated tunes, 'Intro'. First released on the pair's own Vulture label back in 2000, it's a sample-rich slab of French Touch loop-funk that makes merry with some seriously good samples - not least dreamy female backing vocal loops, rubbery bass guitar and howling party atmos. Excitingly, we also get two fresh solo takes from the men behind the record. Falke's revision - deeper, headier and, ultimately, more celebratory, with waves of spacey synths and an extended breakdown adding genuinely loved-up feels - is particularly potent.
