The Sundays released just three albums during the 1990s, but their shimmering guitars and Harriet Wheeler's unmistakable vocals earned them a lasting place in indie pop. Static & Silence (1997), their final album, softens the band's sound with warm, folk-inspired melodies, subtle strings and brass, while retaining their melodic charm. Featuring the radiant single Summertime alongside favourites Cry and When I'm Thinking About You, it's a fitting farewell from one of the era's most beloved bands.
