Mama Terra return with Inner Space, a cinematic spiritual jazz album recorded across Glasgow, Los Angeles and Brooklyn with Grammy-nominated co-producer Joel Hamilton. Led by CAFOLLA and featuring saxophonist Konrad Wiszniewski and vocalist Rachel Lightbody, the album expands the group’s blend of jazz, fusion and orchestral composition. Conrad Roberts, known for his work on Miles Davis’ Live-Evil, appears on two tracks with spoken-word contributions, while The Ayoub Sisters provide guest strings throughout. New York trumpeter Jeremy Pelt also returns as a guest performer. Drawing inspiration from Wayne Shorter, Alice Coltrane and David Axelrod, Inner Space is a bold and expansive nine-track set.
