Josephine Foster is a Colorado-born singer, composer and lyricist whose work drifts between folk, lieder, country blues and avant-song. Drawing on archaic forms and outsider traditions, she reshapes them with a distinct, spectral touch. Here, she honours longtime collaborator Víctor Herrero, who curates a set of his own compositions for Foster’s voice. Herrero’s classical guitar provides a sparse, expressive frame for her light, unguarded delivery, with echoes of Amancio Prada and Víctor Jara in their shared approach.
