Gojira has been known for their progressive and technical death metal styles and their spiritual, philosophical, and environmentally-themed lyrics. While debut album 'Terra Incognita' was more death metal influenced, 'The Link' is musically a stepping stone to Gojira's progression that lead them to the 'From Mars To Sirius' breakthrough, and is maybe their more unpredictable record with a unique atmosphere showing various influences. 'The Link' churns out blast beat savagery and crushing double bass work backed up by a massive wall of guitars.
