Ten years ago, in a Chapel Street sharehouse, four 20-year-olds wrote and recorded six blistering minutes of music in a single afternoon. That session became Giddy Up. Within the hour the band had a name, a Bandcamp page and momentum. After a year of backyard shows and sweat-soaked gigs across Melbourne, they followed it with Big Attraction in 2017 — two EPs that captured their raw, fast-talking charm before the wider world caught on. Now collected on a remastered 12-inch edition, Giddy Up / Big Attraction hits with renewed force. Early staples I’m Not A Loser and Stole My Pushbike sit alongside live favourites Balaclava Lover Boogie and Westgate — direct, funny and ferocious. Housed in a gatefold sleeve featuring Chris Sutherland’s 2017 band photo, with an essay by Amy Taylor and unseen images by Jamie Wdziekonski, this set documents the moment it all kicked off.
